Our Youth Eating Smart (YES!) initiative provides hands on learning through a 12 hour summer camp model over the course of 3 days and is adaptable to your particular program needs.

Students participate in an on-site day camp to take a closer look at the food supply chain — where their food is grown, how it ends up on dining room tables and more. They also learn how to make informed, healthy food choices. Participants have on site guest speakers or travel as a group to a field tripsite during the camp day.

These day camps are designed for use in conjunction with Teaching Gardens, but this is not a requirement. Activities reinforce curricular objectives in science, math, art, health and wellness.
